Tell Me What You Love
I'm really curious about what you consider your "holy grail" beauty products. If you've just read this, I implore you to leave a comment and tell me at least one thing that you couldn't live without, or that you think is the cat's pajama. I'll probably test a few of the products and write about them here if they're enjoyable.

I have a few :)
1.Biolage Shine Milk - Makes my hair SILKY soft and shiny but can make it flat if overused.
2. Soap and Glory's Righteous Butter. LOVE this.
3. Sexy Motherpucker Plumping Lip Gloss. Also part of the Soap and Glory line.
I love the St. Ives Apricot Scrub for exfoliating my face—not to harsh, not too gentle. I use it every other day, even with sensitive skin.
Also, Savon De~Luxe french milled soaps. Especially the lemon verbena scent....heaven!
1. Paul Mitchell Leave-in Hair Conditioner
2. Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Shimmer
You know, this is funny. I just realized I'm a scaredy cat in terms of trying new things. I wash my hair with the same shampoo and conditioner my hairdresser tells me to use; I use the same three things from my favorite skin care line (Clinique) and I stay with the same dark eyes, glossed lips. When I remember. I hate foundation. I hate half-eaten lipstick. And I especially hate buying stuff and finding out after the first couple of uses that I hate it. I've still got the bitter remains of barely used cosmetics and beauty products because I'm too uptight to throw them out, even though I know I won't use them.
This is why I love your blog. I trust your judgement, and am relieved to have someone ELSE try shit out and then tell me their verdict. Then I can be the docile lamb and go buy the same shit, only somewhat reassured that I am not gonna hate it as soon as I've bought it.
"Baaah," she says sheepishly.
Okay here it is...
Shine Miracle Polishing Serum- love this- not only does it help smooth fly aways but it adds a nice shine. Don't use too much - less than a dime goes far!
LIPFUSION Micro-Injected Collagen Lip Plump--a little pricey but so worth it! This is nice if you don't want too much color but don't want bare lips. I have GLOW which just makes your lips a little pinker.
L'Oreal Paris- Infallible Never Fail Lipcolour--this is great. I apply it before I go out and it stays all night, of course with a little re moistening with the gloss it comes with. Word to wise- wait at least two-three minutes after applying color before applying gloss. If not it looks yucky!
Bare Minerals Makeup- the only makeup I wear cause its so light. I'm up for new options thought if you know of any makeup thats super light but covers alot!
I love your reviews! Keep them coming!
Anything you tell me to buy.
1) Bare Minerals -- AMAZING I've been an addict for 4 years now. It feels good and makes me look good (which also feels good!)
2) L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. Yes, a bit pricy, however a little goes a long way. It lasts forever, and the smell is so fresh and light. I love it.
Flexitol heel balm. It's not sexy, but it keeps my feet that way.
I USED to be SOOOOO addicted to Bonne Bell Lip Smackers Lip Gloss in strawberry in the stick form. Been using it daily as long as I can remember. Not only is it in a STICK, which I find the easiest to control, but it's also CLEAR and yet COLORED. I have yet to find any other lip gloss that meets these criteria (especially with a good flavor, good smell, and is only $1.66 each). HOWEVER I have recently become aware that not only should I be using SPF 15 on my lips, but also that using lip gloss actually increases your risk of skin cancer by concentrating light. As I don't want my lips to grow spots/shrivel up/rot off, I am now actively seeking a new daily lip gloss to be addicted to. AND IT'S KILLING ME! If anyone out there can tell me of a clear colored lip gloss in a stick that has SPF 15, please, please let me know. I'M DYIN' OUT HERE!
when I'm talking to someone and they refused to believe what I say, I always prove just how serious I am by saying, "I swear on my bottle of Dr. Bronner's Magic Pure Castile Soap." That is when the argument ends and I am crowned champion. Of the world.
I just have to tell you guys that your comments absolutely crack me up. It's like Christmas and birthday all rolled into one.
Just stumbled upon your blog, love it!
I know it's a little late, cause this post is months old, but I'll share anyway. . .
Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. It is amazing for hiding any discoloration (aka eye circles and blemishes) and goes on pretty thin. I swear by it. I have been using the same tiny container everyday on my eye circles for about 1.5 years, and I still have about half the bottle! I have let a few friends try it and they now swear by it too. It's a bit pricey, but really, a year and a half and I'm not even close to done with it? Totally worth it. Oh, and it's SPF 10, so you get a little protection.
Thanks, corinne! I appreciate the comment. I rarely buy department store makeup, but maybe I can manage to get a sample of that to try it!
